Retired nuclear engineer with experience in PRA, severe accident management, and reactor thermal-hydraulics. At Northeast Utilities, served as Manager of Safety Analysis 1993-1998. Also served as chairman of the Nuclear Safety Assessment Board Engineering Subcommittee at Millstone from 1997 to 1998, and prior to that was a member of Millstone-3 Nuclear Review Board for about 8 years. Served as Lead Manager of the Accident Management Teams in the Emergency Response Organizations at both the Connecticut Yankee and Millstone sites. As senior technical advisor at the NRC 2006-2012, was involved in the development of policy papers for the risk-informed framework for new reactors as well as the development of a risk-informed significance determination process for construction reactor oversight. Also served as a member of the reactor safety team for incident response. Senior Consultant at Jensen Hughes from 2012 to 2019.
