    This presentation for the Risk-Informed Performance-Based Community of Practice (COP) webinar featured Bill Reckley, a retired NRC employee who worked on Part 53 regulations. Bill presented on "Systematic Risk Evaluations" and their role in modernizing nuclear regulations, explaining how risk management principles have evolved over time and how systematic risk evaluations like probabilistic risk assessments (PRAs) can be used in combination with or as alternatives to traditional approaches. The presentation covered risk management processes, the development of NUREG 2150, and how Part 53 incorporates systematic risk evaluations through requirements in 10 CFR 53.450 for PRA or other systematic risk assessments.
