Good point about additional controls on commercial aircraft after 911. It would be interesting to know what they are and how they work.
If they are effective, they could put the aircraft crash scenario back in the "beyond extremely unlikely" category. That is how it was categorized in a Probable Risk Assessment at WIPP before 911.
