There was quite a good write up in the ANS Oct 2023 monthly magazine on Digital Twins and Nuclear Power Plants; see attached extracts. It mentions how Simulation Models / Digital Twins can be used for the design of new reactors, construction, operations, analysing real time plant data against the simulation models to identify and replace defective equipment prior to failure so as to maximise nuclear power generation availability and capacity, and maintenance.
