Mr. Kevin D. Kimball is an emeritus member of the Department of Energy (DOE) Criticality Safety Support Group, whose charter is to advise the DOE on matters related to nuclear criticality safety. Prior to retirement, Mr. Kimball was the Senior Director of Nuclear Safety for Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC, which manages the Y-12 National Security Complex, the Pantex Plant, and the Uranium Processing Facility design and construction. In this role, he was the senior technical nuclear safety authority, responsible for the management of nuclear safety processes and strategies. Prior to this role, he was the Senior Director of Process Engineering and Nuclear Safety where he was the functional manager responsible for approximately 300 engineers.
