Senior human and organizational factors (HOF) professional dedicated to addressing the nexus between human performance and the operational safety of nuclear power facilities
- Thirty-three years applying HOF expertise to mission activities of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), including 14 years as the agency’s Senior Technical Advisor for Human Factors and Human Performance Evaluation.
- Nine years serving the international nuclear community as an active and highly productive member of the Nuclear Energy Agency’s Working Group on Human and Organizational Factors (WGHOF), including five years as a Vice-Chair and as lead for three international task groups.
- Twelve years actively engaged in the development of consensus standards for the application of HOF to the nuclear industry, including seven years as chair of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Nuclear Power Engineering Committee, Sub-committee 5, Human Factors, Control Facilities and Human Reliability.
