Bio

James has over 25 years of experience ranging from neutron based non-proliferation technology, criticality safety and licensing at an NRC licensed fuel-fabrication facility, nuclear safety  across several LANL nuclear facilities, and currently provides academic, technical and programmatic support to the  NCS Program at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
He has a BS in Engineering Physics (1995) that focused on fusion energy, and an MS in Nuclear Engineering (1997) specializing in criticality safety, with a thesis on the application of artificial intelligence to preventative maintenance. Both degrees are from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
He is a member of the American Nuclear Society (ANS), a writing group chair of ANSI/ANS-8.7,Storage of Fissionable Material , and Vice Chair of the NCS task team of the DOE's Energy Facilities Contractors Group (EFCOG).
